Texas Yoga Center Retreat - Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ - Retreat details coming soon
The following info is from our 2019 Retreat - You are invited to join us for a fun-filled and relaxing retreat at Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ. I have so many fond memories of Lake LBJ and Marble Falls vacationing there as I grew up. Now my own family has grown up playing on the lake, so it is very special to us. Our mantra is "No bad days at the lake".
It is a wonderful get-away that I am so excited to share with you.
The Retreat includes:
- 2 nights at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel
- Outdoor Yoga and Meditation classes each day
- Natural Remedies & Healthy Tips Talks by Barbara Morrison and others
- Plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the resort
- All day Tuesday (even after checkout) for more yoga and enjoying the Resort
- There is a spectacular hot tub at the hotel and at the Yacht Club

RETREAT FEE - $400 Single or with spouse (spouses free); $232 per person with yoga roommate; prices available for Drop-in classes for guests not registered for the retreat. Meals not included, will be billed to your room.
Yoga for Coping With Anxiety Series
This is a slow-flow, Hatha yoga class designed to teach strategies and coping skills for daily life application using yoga poses, breathing techniques, and the mind-body connection.
Taught by Rebecca Fuentes. Rebecca was formerly employed by CFISD in Special Education. She completed the Texas Yoga Center Teacher Certification program in 2019 and has now turned her full attention to helping others reduce anxiety and stress through yoga and her own personal experience. "I want to show others what I have learned as well as offer them a small time during the day where they can step away from life, away from the stress and chaos, and live in the present moment."

Meditation Practice
Learn several types of meditation: mindfulness, guided visualization, focal point, breathing. Practice and discuss experiences, obstacles. Learn what meditation 'is' and 'is not'. We will take time for gentle stretches and experiment with different ways to sit comfortably. No experience necessary.
Dr. Chase Hayden Lecture Next Lecture tba - Free and open to everyone
This lecture replaces our yoga class for the night. Bring your family and friends and learn how Quantum Neurology can relieve long-standing issues in the body. Plenty of time of Q&A. Dr. Chase will be using volunteers in the class to demonstrate, maybe you will be one of the lucky ones. Just show up and enjoy.
Principle and Practice of Movement - tba
Tim Janak and Barbara Morrison will co-teach the class to help you learn movements that relieve pain and integrate muscle memory for sustained relief.
Drum Circle - next class tba
Open to everyone. Bring any kind of drum or musical instrument or use instruments provided. Based on Native North and South American Indian culture. A fun, interactive evening.
Meditation With Sound Vibration
This workshop will be offered again soon. Open to everyone. With the right sounds, you can align yourself with the vibrations that foster health, happiness and unity. Join us for an uplifting experience to learn and practice the healing effect of sound, meditation, crystal singing bowls and gong meditation.
Intro to Yoga Series
Saturdays at 10:30 am. Taught by Barbara Morrison. Learn and refresh basic yoga poses, breathing exercises and meditation. Open to All Levels. Class size will be limited in order to give you personal attention and answer questions, such as, "am I doing this right?" Perfect for people who do not feel ready to try a 'real' yoga class yet.
Chair Yoga Class
The perfect class for those who do not want to get up and down from the floor. Learn all the yoga poses using a chair as a support for sitting and standing. you will receive the benefits of strength, flexibility, balance. And practice breathing exercises and meditation.
Healthy Living Series
4 week series - will resume again soon. This is a fun, interactive class taught by Barbara. I will present a health topic each week and the class will have the opportunity to share healthy tips and resources. The goal is to be life-long learners and build a community of like-minded friends. Open and free to everyone.
